We prove whether an automation is worth pursuing — a fast prototype, not an enterprise build.

Led by Paul Wu, Co-Founder & Director of Technology Advisory.

An enterprise rarely lacks software. What it lacks is certainty about which software is worth pursuing. The expensive mistake is not a failed build; it is a wrong decision — a process automated that should have been left alone, a platform bought that never paid, a budget committed to a project that should never have started.

Our work is not to build the enterprise system. It is to settle that decision — quickly, and with evidence. We prove, in days, whether automating a process, buying a tool or rebuilding a system is worthwhile for the enterprise to pursue.

It has been a pleasure working with Ascent Partners over the past few years. The team is always professional and helpful. They are truly a ‘partner’ and I will not hesitate to recommend them.
Mr Kenny Yeung, CFO, SCUD Group Limited

A prototype is an argument you can run. Built in days on real data, it answers the only question that matters: does this hold well enough to pursue? When the answer is no, we say so. The cheapest project is the one that is never started.

How we prove a decisionA verdict in days, not a build in quarters.
View the data
  1. Frame the decision — in days, not quarters
  2. Build a working prototype on the client's own data
  3. Test the case against real constraints
  4. Iterate in short cycles to pressure-test it
  5. Hand back a verdict the enterprise can act on

Agile, here, means short cycles that pressure-test the case — cost, scale, risk — not a long delivery. We do not build or run the enterprise platform; we de-risk it, so that the enterprise, or the vendor it chooses, can pursue it knowing the decision was sound.

What we prove, and what we leave to youWe settle the decision; the build stays yours.

Where the decision turns on a hard number, the prototype has to price it. A convertible is part debt and part option; an ESOP or a structured product turns on a volatility no one can observe. We assemble the model around the client's own instruments — drawing on tools such as the FINCAD Analytics Suite (part of Numerix) — and we do not hand over a black box.

The deliverable is a decision, not a system. We are the proof that comes before the build — the reason an enterprise moves, or the reason it does not.
