Mr. Ronald Ho, CA, CPA, FCPA, MBA
Chairman
Mr. Ronald Ho is the Chairman of Ascent Partners. He is a member of the Supervisory Board and Remuneration Committee of the Hong Kong Housing Society. In addition, he is also a Council Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors. Professionally, he is a Chartered Accountant and a Practicing Member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered accountants. He is also a Fellow and Practicing Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He graduated as a B. Sc. and MBA at McMaster University, Canada.
Mr. Ho worked for Ernst & Young, one of the big four Accounting Firms, for 30 years (21 years as a partner). He was the Senior Partner of Ernst & Young and has excellent management skill and solid business background. He has also acted as the Director of Accounting and Auditing and Director of Professional Development and Personnel (Technical Advisory, Training and Human Resource). He was also head of the Unit Trusts and Mutual Funds (including Venture Capital and Private Equity) Department. In addition to providing Assurance Advisory Service, he was responsible for the development and advancement of the firm in this industry and spearheaded the practice development effort in this area. For example, his client portfolio included the majority of the JF Unit Trusts. He was advisor to one of the first Tiger Funds established and managed in Hong Kong.
In addition to his professional work, Mr. Ho has spent a significant amount of time in performing civic duties. On the academic front, Mr. Ho was a Professor, teaching Finance and Accounting, on a half time basis, of the MBA programme at the Business School of the Hong Kong University for 5 years. On the charity front, he has served Rotary International, District 3450, for 26 years, twice as the Assistant Governor of Hong Kong, Macao and Mongolia, amongst other key posts. For his own Club, the Rotary Club of Peninsula, he has been the President and, inter alia, International Director. He also spearheaded the foundation of the charity organization, Helping Hand, and was a Council Member of the Hong Kong Youth Hostels Association.

Mr. Simon Mak, CFA
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Mak is the co-founder and chief executive of Ascent Partners. He graduated as a B. Sc. at McGill University, Canada, and received executive education in Stanford University, USA. He is also a CFA charter-holder. Mr. Mak has extensive experience in corporate valuation, financial advisory and deal structuring. Before founding Ascent Partners, Mr. Mak held senior positions in a wide range of financial service firms and technology companies.
Besides his professional work, Mr. Mak is committed to fulfill his social duty. He is a frequent guest speaker and lecturer for academic institutions and professional bodies, such as: University of Hong Kong (HKU), Chinese University Hong Kong (CUHK) and Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). He also serves in a variety of professional organizations, such as Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts (HKSFA), and Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCPEA).

Mr. Hauman Yeung
Director - Asset Management (Environment Focus)
Mr. Yeung has been involved in the environmental movement in Hong Kong since 1988. He was the Executive Director of Green Power, and managed several environmental projects funded by UNEP from 1993 to 1995. He started an eco-village with the South China Agricultural University in 1995. He worked in a private equity investment company, LESS Limited, that invested in Environmental projects in China from 2004 to 2008. During his working in the private equity fund, he help to set up the whole investment criteria and standard, and also responsible for deal sourcing, due-diligent, closing deal and ongoing monitoring to improve the standard of the portfolio companies.

Mr. William Yuen, CFA, FRM
Director - Transaction Service
Mr. Yuen is a CFA charter-holder and a FRM holder. He has extensive experience in corporate valuation and advisory. Before establishing himself in the financial industry, Mr. Yuen has over 10 year solid experience in the electronic product and channel management. He started his career at a HK public-listed electronic manufacturer as a regional sales manager. After honing his channel management skill, he helped a computer manufacturer developing and managing their sales and marketing channel at Eastern and Southern Europe, at the time when the sub-continent just reopen up for foreigner. Equipped with the valuable business experience, Mr. Yuen ventured out into the financial sector. He worked at a variety of segments within the financial industries, including: independent financial advisory, financial appraisal and family office, before forming Ascent Partners with other partners.

Mr. Kenny Lee , CMA(Aust)
Principal & Head - Human Capital
Mr. Kenny Lee is Principal at Ascent Partners Human Capital Limited, which provides executive search, compensation advisory and workforce rationalization services to leading corporations. He is heading the executive search operation with a specialization in the banking and finance sector, which goes beyond simple executive search. With extensive exposure in a wide range of industries, Mr. Lee and his team provide expert advice on executive search strategies (such as cross-segment search methodology) to help clients unleash underutilized human capital.
During the 20 years in the banking and finance sector, Mr. Lee worked his way up the corporate ladder in a variety of organizations, which enabled him to amass a good understanding of the industry. Before joining Ascent Partners, he was the Managing Partner of a boutique investment bank in Hong Kong. Currently, Mr. Lee is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Australia and a master's candidate of University College Dublin, Ireland.
